DESCRIPTION

A true solution has particle size < 10-9 m .Solution is a homogeneous mixture which is clear and transparent. The light passes through it easily and it is stable. Suspensions have a particle size >10-6 m. It is heterogeneous and opaque. When the light passes through in it, the light is not visible at other end. Its particles settle under gravity when left undisturbed for some time. Colloids have a particle size 10-9 m- 10-6 m. They are heterogeneous and is translucent. Light scatters when passing through them
