Density of Material Kit

Density is basic property of matter. Every substance has density that can be measured. If you were asked what is heavier, a Kg of lead or a Kg of feather. Your initial response would be “Lead”. But they both weigh the same. A Kg of feathers takes up more space whereas lead takes up much less space because of it greater density. The aim of this experiment is to demonstrate the concept of density of various metals with feel.

1. Student are made aware that the density of a substance decides it’s mass.
2. They learn to differentiate between mass and weight.
3. Correlation between theory and practical becomes easier
